Safety, Health, Environment And Archaeology (SHEA) Manager
Our client, MP Mining is a mining company operating in the North-East of Botswana at Mowana Copper Mine.
We are seeking a hands-on Health & Safety Integration Specialist to embed Health and Safety into every part of our operations and workplace culture. This is not a traditional advisory role, this individual will actively implement, influence, and integrate Health and Safety practices into daily operations. They will work side by side with teams on the ground, ensuring that safety is not a separate function but a natural part of how we work.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong and visible leadership in SHEA Management
- Develop and implement SHEA systems, procedures and risk controls.
- Lead safety audits, training, emergency preparedness and incident investigations
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including contractors and regulatory bodies.
- Promote continuous improvement in health and safety performance.
- Monitor SHEA metrics and ensure regulatory and internal compliance.
Requirements
- Degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Science, or related field.
- At least 9 years experience of which 4 years must have been spent in a leadership role within a mining or resource sector or industrial environment
- Qualifications in auditing of ISO 90001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

- In-depth knowledge of SHE-related legislation, risk management, and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate ability to drive cultural change and safety ownership across teams.
- Integrity and firmness in upholding safety standards.
