We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead our HR function in Gaborone. This is a strategic leadership role that requires a results-driven professional capable of aligning HR initiatives with corporate strategy while fostering a positive, compliant, and high-performance work environment.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies, systems, and policies that align with business goals and corporate direction.
  • Budgeting: Prepare and manage the HR departmental budget to support operations and key business initiatives.
  • Talent Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Manage payroll, benefits administration, and compensation strategies that ensure fairness and competitiveness.
  • Employee Relations: Promote harmony and accountability by managing grievances, disciplinary matters, and employee engagement initiatives that drive productivity.
  • Learning & Development: Identify training needs and promote continuous learning across the organization.
  • Performance Management: Support leaders in implementing effective performance management systems.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to Botswana Labour Laws, Employment Regulations and company policies.
  • Employee Engagement: Lead wellness, motivation, and engagement programs that enhance employee experience.
  • Union Relations: Drive constructive engagement with unions, ensuring alignment with collective labour agreements.
  • Workforce Planning: Develop manpower and succession plans to support business continuity.
 
Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Human Resources, including 5 years at management level, preferably in a manufacturing environment or related industry.
  • Sound understanding of Botswana Labour Laws, Employment Regulations and HR best practices.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
