Country General Manager
Our client in the tourism and hospitality industry seeks to appoint a dynamic and experienced Country General Manager to oversee their operations in Botswana. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality guest experiences, managing costs, and maintaining our market-leading position. Our client is a leading provider of authentic African experiences, committed to delivering exceptional guest satisfaction.
Reporting to: COO with a close working relationship with the CEO
Location: Maun, Botswana
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage in-country operations to achieve business strategy and financial goals.
- Ensure all properties deliver exceptional guest experiences in line with our standards.
- Oversee annual financial planning, budgeting, and asset management.
- Build and lead effective teams, fostering a positive work environment.
- Maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders and communities.
Qualifications, Experience and Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably within the hospitality, tourism, or retail industry.
- Proven track record in a General Management role.
- Strong financial acumen and strategic planning abilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and lead teams to achieve high performance.
