Chief Enterprise Business Sales Officer (CEBSO)


Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC) is looking for an experienced and visionary Chief Enterprise Business Sales Officer (CEBSO) to lead and expand our enterprise sales function. This executive role is responsible for defining and executing strategies to grow enterprise revenue, deepen relationships with large-scale clients, and build high-performance B2B sales teams. The ideal candidate has a strong background in technology solutions, enterprise software, SaaS and telecoms services and excels at driving transformational deals with C-level stakeholders.
 
Reporting to : Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
 
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership
  • Develop and execute the enterprise sales strategy aligned with company growth goals and product roadmap.
  • Identify new enterprise market segments, customer needs, and opportunities for long-term revenue growth.
Revenue & Pipeline Growth
  • Drive acquisition, retention, and expansion of large enterprise accounts across industries.
  • Own and optimize the full enterprise sales funnel — from lead generation to contract close and post-sale expansion.
Team Building & Development
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a world-class enterprise sales team, including segmental executives, account executives, presales and solutions engineers as well as business development.
  • Create a high-performance, results-driven culture with accountability for KPIs, quotas, and customer success.
Customer & C-Suite Engagement
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with C-level executives at Corporate and Governmental entities and multinational corporate clients.
  • Position the company as a strategic technology partner through consultative, value-driven selling.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with product, marketing, customer success, finance, and legal to align solutions with market demand and ensure end-to-end sales execution.
  • Provide insights on customer needs to inform product development and innovation.
Sales Operations & Enablement
  • Oversee sales forecasting, CRM systems, compensation design, and performance analytics.
  • Implement scalable sales processes and tools to support growth across global regions.
 
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 12–15+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role within the tech industry.
  • Proven success in leading enterprise-level B2B sales (SaaS, Cloud, AI/ML, Cybersecurity, Connectivity and Infrastructure solutions preferred).
  • Strong track record of closing 7–8 figure deals and managing long, complex sales cycles.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise procurement, contract negotiation, and IT decision-making processes.
