Learning and Development Partner
First Capital Bank is a leading regional financial institution operating across Botswana, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. As the Bank continues its transformation journey to strengthen capability, service excellence, and long-term sustainability, they are seeking a high-impact Learning and Development professional to support our people strategy and performance agenda.
As Learning and Development Partner, you will play a strategic role in building organisational capability by designing, delivering, and evaluating learning solutions that strengthen technical expertise, leadership effectiveness, and customer service excellence across the Bank. You will act as a trusted partner to leadership and HR, ensuring learning initiatives are aligned to business priorities, regulatory requirements, and best practice within a multi-country banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver customised training programs for key banking roles, including branch banking, corporate banking and support functions.
- Use a blended learning approach, incorporating e-learning modules, interactive workshops, simulations, and on-the-job training.
- Deliver high impact training.
- Ensure training materials reflect banking regulations, organisational policies, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with leaders and HR to identify current and future skills gaps across teams and departments.
- Conduct training needs analyses through performance reviews, talent assessments, and employee feedback.
- Act as a consultant to leadership on employee development, helping integrate training into broader talent management strategies.

Requirements & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Management, or a related field (essential).
- Professional certification in Learning and Development or Training (e.g., CIPD, ATD) is preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in training roles within the banking or financial services sector.
- Demonstrated success in designing and leading high-impact learning programs, including technical training and leadership development.
- Proven experience working in a multi-country organisation, tailoring programs to meet both local and group-wide needs.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training tools.
