Okavango Diamond Company (ODC) is a premier rough diamond marketing company, offering global customers open access to a large-scale supply of rough diamonds sourced from Botswana. As the principal supplier in the sector, ODC represents the largest guaranteed source of Botswana’s diamond production within the industry. Currently undergoing an exciting transformation, ODC is seeking a a dedicated, self-driven professional to join its dynamic team.
Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure ODC’s profitability and growth.
- Support the Executive Committee by utilising financial information to inform business strategy and the budgeting process.
- Oversee the cost-effective delivery of services, manage cash flow, invest surplus funds, monitor loan repayment portfolios, and maintain the asset register.
- Ensure effective delivery, you will determine strategic initiatives, allocate resources, direct execution, monitor performance, and support capital project appraisals to enhance decision-making.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/ finance/financial management/Economics and Quantitative/ Financial Mathematics.
- 8 years post professional accounting qualification experience, including 3 years management experience (line management track) or strategic accountability for functional area/capability (specialist track).
