Okavango Diamond Company (ODC) is a premier rough diamond marketing company, offering global customers open access to a large-scale supply of rough diamonds sourced from Botswana. As the principal supplier in the sector, ODC represents the largest guaranteed source of Botswana’s diamond production within the industry. Currently undergoing an exciting transformation, ODC is seeking dedicated, self-driven professional to join its dynamic team.
Reporting to: Managing Director
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the business enablement portfolio, which includes Human Capital, ICT, and Facilities Management.
- Advance ODC’s strategic enablement capabilities, driving the company’s aspiration to become a high-performance organisation.
- Lead the people agenda and fostering a high-performance culture, you will
- Ensure the implementation of infrastructure support and technological advancements that align with ODC’s current and future business needs.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Human Resources / Management or Bachelors degree in Human Resources with an executive development programme
- 10 years experience, including 8 years in senior management in human resources.
Knowledge and Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of business principles of administration, organization and management.
- Good knowledge of HR, ICT or Facilities Management
- Experience in delivery management
- Knowledge of pertinent Regulatory & Statutory requirements as they pertain to areas of discipline;
- Knowledge of the financial and operational drivers for a sales and marketing organisation;
- Corporate performance monitoring, reporting and evaluation methodologies and practices;
- Project Management skills; Extensive public interaction expertise at national, local, regional and global-levels
- Principles of public administration, management, supervision, training and performance evaluation; and
- Knowledge of principles and practices of budget preparation and administration.
