Our client Kgalagadi Breweries Limited (KBL) is one of the leading brewers in Botswana with extensive market share in production, distribution and aftersales for liquor products. The company is in an exciting journey and seeks to employ highly skilled individuals to be part of the team. An opportunity exists for a Credit Control Manager.

Key roles and responsibilities
  • General Credit responsibilities
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the Credit and Terms of trade strategy for SAB Beer, ensuring it is relevant to the market place and properly executed in the Regionss
  • Custodian of the SAB Credit Policy and Best Operating Practices and ensuring updated and aligned to the overall SAB Beer Strategy and in line with the National Credit Act
  • Coordination of the Credit function within SAB Beer between Regions
  • Monitoring of overall Beer Division credit and debtors book status, identify gaps and define corrective actions
  • Formulate and manage Service level agreements with all stakeholders and put corrective steps in place
  • Design and implement reporting and scorecard to manage KPIs
  • Shared responsibility for monthly reporting and actual monitoring of KPIs
  • Monitor credit/legal risks and exposure of operating in current legal environment (especially in liquor industry)
  • Drive the development of advanced information technology solutions to ensure optimal credit reporting and analysis
  • Provide credit training content to the Finance L&DS and ensure regular and relevant training updates to the training content
  • Manage personnel and optimize team performance
  • Facilitate effective team dynamics
  • Responsible for formulating, design and implementation of strategic credit projects and initiatives
Qualifications and Experience
  • BCom/ Accounting/ Finance
  • Superior knowledge of the NCA and customer credit risk environment
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience within Credit Management
  • Experience in dealing with legal and financial aspects of collections and debt management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
