Director – Property Development
Botswana Housing Corporation is seeking a suitable candidate for a Regional Director position within the Corporation. Based in Gaborone, the Corporation seeks a visionary leader who will add value and drive the strategic and operational effectiveness of the Corporation’s property development function.
Overview of the Role
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer-Operations, the position is responsible to promote the Corporation’s growth by leading, directing and managing business development activities along the mandate. The role requires a candidate with a proven strong track record of experience in project management, business development, contract management and contract administration, stakeholder management and a good understanding of development projects strategic procurement processes.
Job Summary
- Efficient and effective co-ordination, management and accounting for outsourced services related to business and property development.
- Ensuring that the outsourced services are procured in a cost-effective manner and complements the timely delivery of the Corporation’s plans.
- Planning, coordinating and supervising property and infrastructure design and construction projects to ensure that projects are completed on time, in accordance with specifications, and within budget.
- Develops and implements strategies effectively to attract exceptional investment and funding partners.
- Coordinates all activities that ensures that there are efficient and effective stakeholder management processes in the Corporation’s for successful delivery of development projects by the Corporation.
Qualifications, Experience And Knowledge
- Education: Degree in the Built Environment, with emphasis in Property Development and Project Management or related fields.
- Ability to demonstrate capabilities in business development and technical understanding of project delivery cycle, are critical to this role.
- Post graduate qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
- Membership of a professional and internationally recognised institute.
- Minimum of ten (10) years post-qualification experience in the Built environment or related fields of which five (5) years should have been at middle management level.
